Excluding my wild and rebellious teenage years – oh the shame! – I’ve never been a fan of bright eyeshadows, always opting for a neutral flush of colour over my lids rather than the ghastly hues of blues and greens I thought were pretty in school. This is why the ‘Becca’ eyeshadow by Wild About Beauty, created by make-up artist Kim Jacob and TV personality Louise Redknapp, caught my eye.
In addition to living in the cutest darn packaging you’ve ever seen, it’s also a beautifully subtle brown shade without the unnecessary shimmer you’ll often find in other shadows.
The silky texture, due to being enriched with skin-conditioning vitamins E, C and aloe vera, serves as a soft little blanket for your eyelids whilst the shade itself is perfect for the natural everyday make-up look I tend to adopt.
The powder, which has an adorable bee design imprinted onto the surface, is incredibly pigmented with a little going a long way. It’s also perfect for a base layer when building up a smoky eye look.
Best of all it is completely Paraben, Petrochemical and animal cruelty free so has been a very welcome, guilt-free addition to my make-up bag.
You can purchase the ‘Becca’ eyeshadow for £13 from Wild About Beauty.
